Terms and Conditions

Payment

Payment must be made at the start of each driving lesson by cash. The price of driving lessons will have been agreed at the time of booking. To book a course of lessons a 50% deposit (if the BOOKING DATE is more than 4 weeks in advance of the COURSE START DATE) or the full course fee is required.

Driving Lessons

The Phull Marks driving school will check that the pupil can read a car number plate at a distance of 20.5 meters or 67 feet with glasses if normally worn. The pupil is required to wear their glasses or contact lenses whilst on a driving lesson.

Comfort and Safety

Pupils are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing which does not restrict movement. Pupils should also take note of any medication they are taking that may affect their ability to drive and inform the driving school before taking their lesson.

Punctuality

It is in the interest of pupils to be punctual for lesson appointments. Should the pupil fail to arrive at the appointed time the Instructor will call the pupil on their contact telephone number and wait for a maximum of 15 minuites before the full lesson is abandoned and the lesson fee forfeited. A reciprocal waiting time may become necessary if the Instructor is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Any lesson time lost as a result of this would be made up either at the end of the normal lesson time if possible or at a later date.

Transfer of lessons

You cannot transfer lessons which have been bought in your name to any other person without consent.

Lesson Cancelations

If a pupil wishes to cancel a lesson a minimum of 48 hours notice should be given. Provided the Instructor can fill any driving lesson slots postponed by the pupil at less than 48 hours notice, no charge will be incurred. If this is not possible the full lesson fee may be lost or chargeable at the discresion of the Phull Marks Driving School. The Instructor reserves the right to to postpone the driving lesson if she feels the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous. Phull Marks Driving School cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the pupil to postpone lessons for whatever reason.

Professional Conduct

Phull Marks Driving School is bound by the DSA code of practice for approved driving instructors. The Instructor will be courteous polite, tidy and punctual. The driving school car will be well maintained clean and tidy and fitted with dual controls.

Price Changes

The price of driving lessons which have not been prepaid as part of a block booking may be changed at any time You will always receive 4 weeks notice of such changes.The cost of pre paid driving tuition is based on a price in at the time of booking, and will be honoured for 12 months thereafter irrespective of any price increase that may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken. Any unused driving lessons remaining after 12 months have elapsed shall have any lesson price increase applied.

Driving Tests

The Phull Marks Driving School will advise the pupil when they are ready to pass their driving test taking into account local waiting times. When a driving test is booked by the pupil or by another drivng school please inform the Instructor to ensure that she has the correct details of your test to confirm that she can provide a vehicle for that date.

Driving Test Cancellations

The DSA requires three clear working days notice of cancellation or postponement of a driving test. Failure to provide the required notice will result in the loss of your test fee. Phull Marks Driving School cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation of tests by the pupil or the DSA for any reason. However every assistance will be offered in arranging a new test should this occur . Phull Marks Driving School will also advise you on how to reclaim expenses from the DSA should the test be cancelled without prior notice.
